I arrived at the seminar house in the top of mountain around three in the afternoon. Before I arrived, two people arrived. In the moment, we talked about this conference and waited for other people. I was anxious whether I could use Internet in my room. In fact, I can be on the Web. But its speed is very slow.

From tomorrow, I am going to stay in the top field of a mountain in Gunma and take part in a seminar organaized by our university. I will have stayed nine days! Only thinking it, I feel tired. Of course, the air of there is fresh and clean. But there are nothing but woods, stars, and bears near the seminar house. I may be not stand with it. Moreover, the seminar house doesn't have the Internet service in a private study room but in a living room. It is possible I can't write a diary for the time being and use The Linguist. Instead, I do mathematics very hard.

Nowadays, I become to want to learn English, or improve my English ability. I have read novels in English since 2003. I became enjoying reading books very much. But sometimes I felt understanding contexts more clearly. Since I had a feeling of learning English, I had searched efficient study systems. And I found The Linguist. Today, I became a member of The Linguist. I look forward to using The Linguist learning systems, and listening and reading the contents of The Linguist.

The reason that I become to be able to read novels in English is SSS extensive reading. In this method, you start to read very easy books and don't use dictionaries and don't mind difficult parts to understand and read interesting books.

When I was walking to a university, I met someone I knew and he couldn't be in Tokyo. I asked him why he was here. But he said that I forget what he and I met here. So, I understood the matter thoughtfully and said good-bye and walked away. I am curious about the reason he was in Tokyo. He said before that there would be a secret meeting in the end of month. Is this the secret meeting? If so, what was the secret meeting?

I am going to visit England and Russia from September to October. In order to attend at international conference in the Newton Institute and study with russian mathematicians in Moscow. Since I will be given my travel expenses from different organaizations, it's a little difficult to make official papers for the expenses. And I am anxious if I am alone in Moscow because other members who are going to Moscow have not bought or reserve airplane tickets yet and already all tickets from Narita to Moscow have been sold. This is interesting. Why all tichkets for Moscow in September have been sold? This season is a sightseeing season? When I bought a ticket from Narita to London in September, I was told that there were quite a few tickets, for example, tickets of British Airlines were all sold. I wonder if university students go to London because they are in holidays.

I took TOEIC last month. I knew my score of TOEIC last week. Today, I received my official score certificate. A week ago, I wrote about the score. At that time, I knew only scores of listening and reading part. Other than official score certificate, I received a paper about score descriptions and abilities measured. I am not interesting for score descriptions because it is not fit for me. But I am interesting for abilities measured. I obtained 100 % for a reading ablity(ひとつの文書の中でまたは複数の文書間でちりばめられた情報を関連付けることができる), 84 % for vocabulary and 88 % for grammar. That I have read novels in a long time is improving this reading ability very much but vocabulary and grammar less.

The day before yesterday, I took part in an off party. We talked several things. I had an interest of pronunciation. I don't want to speak English but I need to speak English. Last Friday, I went drinking with members of a seminar of a university. In there, I was told I didn't speak Japanese or English clearly and I tended to omit words. In fact, from my childhood, I hadn't speak clearly or couldn't speak clearly. Consequently, I was not speaking very often. There were a lot of happenings people didn't understand what I spoke of. To speak more clearly, I decided to practice pronunciation. As first try, I will go to a school specializing for pronunciation tomorrow. This scool is near Shibuya. So it's convenient for me.

When I came back to home, a new VAIO had delivered. As soon as possible, I opened the box and started the PC. I noticed soon the battery size was big than I expected so my PC's weight was more than 1,4kg. And I was aware of a noise of the cpu fun. Later, I found the noise of the cpu fun was declining when the cpu was not doing heavy computing.

The Perfect Rake is one of the series about Merridew sisters written by Anne Gracie. The main character of this book is Miss Prudence. She is the eldest sister in Merridew sisters. Probably, this is the first book of this series but I read this book third. However, I had a very fun time. I didn't regret a bit to read on turn. A word prudence means sensibleness and carefulness. In the story, Prudence acts quickly or thoughtfullnessly. A hero, Gideon, who fell in love with her at first sight, called her ImPrudence. To tease her. He speaks to her with a funny style. She also fell in love with him but resisted him becaue she was betrothed. Betrothed means having promised to marry with someone. The fact she had been betrothed was the obstacle for between Prudence and Gideon. I enjoyed very much reading this book. I shall read another Anne Gracies book in near day.

I took TOEIC in June 25. I looked forward to seeing the result of TOEIC. Today, I knew the score of TOEIC on the web. It is 815. Listening part is 380 and Reading part is 435. In next Monday, I will receive more precisely data of my score. I was nervous before looking the result and relaxed after knowing the result. I expected my score would be between 800 and 900. I heard that if one naturally learns or uses Enlish his or hers listening score is greater than one's reading score. In my case, my reading score is greater than my listening score. I think it is because I read novels and hardly listen to or speak English. I also heard if a percentage of correct answer of listning part and reading part are the same, the score of listening would greater than that of reading. Thus, more than appearance, my reading ability is greater than my listening ability. To increase my listening ability, I was determined to listen more often than ever. Precisely, I listen one hour a day. I need to increase my listening ability. Because I will go to Europe August and October and November. I also have to be able to speak English more fluently. To do so, I do shadowing. I am going to do shadowing ten minutes a day. In a year, I will took TOEIC. I want to get the score more than 900 at that time.

I went to the library again. When I entered into the library, there was a man in the reception desk. A pretty woman I saw yesterday was not seen. In lunch time, as I walked down the stair and got out the gate, I glimpsed and found she was in the reception desk. She was charming and I couldn't help looking at her. I might fall in love with her. She smiled to somewhere. By the way, my sister saw my old girlfriend on the train yesterday. My sister said that she was with her mother and weared a white skirt. I asked my sister that my old girlfriend was pretty and beautiful. Because it has long time since I had not seen her. My sister didn't answer sharply and got away from me. I wanted to ask again, going after her, but I stopped. I knew she was in where we lived. It is possible that I come across her. I hope she is beautiful.

For the first time in five or six years, I went to the library in Hongo. This library has very old atmosphere. There is a red carpet continuing from the third floor down to the first floor. As I walk on the third floor, there is a voise arising from old woods. I studied mathematics concentrating on very hard while a short time. At the time I went out, it was raining and thundering. I didn't have an ambrella and I had a promise of meeting, so I was anxious. When I got down the stair, I saw umbrellas at the reception desk. I didn't have a courage to ask for it at the first time. Seeing outside, it was raining than before. I thought I had to ask for it. I talked to a receptionist. She kindly answered my question and I could borrow an umbrella. Unfortunately or luckily, it stopped raining soon after then. Tomorrow, I will give it back to the library.

I have worked in an office since April. And I earned a little money. Using the money, I bought a note PC. Because my old PC was broken last month. I was very destracted of my broken PC and I was very sad when that happened. In several days, I have considered which note PC I should buy. Firstly, I gathered a critical property with PC. I want PC which have next properties. Light, able to bring frequently, 1 GB memory, a high performance CPU which later I found Core Duo or Core Solo as powerful CPU, Bluetooth property, good design, good security, 1 seg tuner, good record skill. As satisfying these property, I selected VAIO Type T 92 series. And I bought it. I look forward to seeing it in my home.

It was very humid and hot today. These days, I ususally study mathematics in my room of my home. There is no airconditioner in my room. So, I can't tolerate this hot day. I will go out of my room and go to a university. I don't decide to go a university I should go. A university I belong to is far from my home. Another campus is nearer than that. I may go to another campus. Six years ago, I frequently went to that another campus. I think it was the time for me to study a lot of time. I have an opinion about an importance of enviroment. To study, where you do it is rather important. That another campus has very science atmosphere.

Today, I woke up at six in the morning. Recently, I woke up at noon. Now I am very sleepy. After I got out the bed, I prepared for breakfast, and for the time being I went walking outside. In walking, I listened to VOA English and Special English. I partially understood VOA English and fully understood VOA Special English. From last September, I have listend to VOA Special English and at first I understood only some phrase in an article and now I understood most part. It may be time to take off VOA Special English and take on VOA English at normal speed. I have seen many sites whose webmasters wrote down own study records. I do think I should try that.

I arrived at the airport in Turku in the middle of night. It's dark and unfamiliar to me. Words which I saw in the airport were what I couldn't understand. I was anxious whether I could manage to get to a hotel. Before I left for Finland, I studied about Finland on the Internet. There was a homepage about Finland in Japanese. By the author, he took a bus to the center of Turku in the middle of night. So I thought there was a bus terminal. By the way, the terminal of Turku was the smallest in my ever life. It has three counters and a small cafe. I couldn't understand words and I didn't notice where a bus terminal was. I thought if I went to go out of the airport, I could find a bus terminal. So I went out and something like a bus terminal was not seen around. But I saw a bus. I spoke to the bus driver. He seemd to understand half of what I said. He seemd to be not good at English. He said to me if I took this bus I got to the center of Turku. I got into the bus. He walkd to me and said I had to pay before the bus run. I paid three yuro. I made a resevation of a hotel which was the nearest a bus terminal. In fact, I saw the hotel before I got out the bus. In Finland, names of the bus stops are not called, unlikely to Japan. In Japan, names of the bus stops or train station are repeatedly called. They are rather noisy. If I hadn't seen the hotel, I would have not got out at the right place. I am behind of luck. As I got out the bus, the hotel was across the road. I walked across the road and got into the hotel. I went to the reception desk and said to a receptionist
"I have a resevation."
She said to me
"Your name, please."
I gave my name to her and a certifiacation paper. She gave the card. I understood the card was used as a key of my room.
She said in last,
"Good evening!"
I said something like Yeah and walked toward the elevator. As I got in the elevator, I pushed the button. But the lump of the button was not turned on and the elevator didn't moved. At the short momment, I was at a loss. Suddenly, the elevator moved up and stopped at three floor and two strangers walked in. One of them put a card into a hole and pushed the button and the elevator moved down. When the elevator arrived down the first floor, one of them explained how to use the card and walked away saying good luck. I shouted Thank you and put the card into the hole and pushed the button. The elevator moved up and I could managed to get in the room. I was exhausted. I took a shower and went to a bed. When I woke up in the morning, it's already nine. The breakfast in the hotel was bufe(ビュッフェ) style. I took all foods. Because I was curious about foreign dishes. They tasted bit salty(塩辛い) and raw fish didn't taste good. From next morning, I selected foods. As I walked around and took foods, I saw a professor who we know each other. He had breakfast with a beautiful woman. If he was alone, I talked to him and would have breakfast with him. This woman was Russian and I was afraid of speaking English. So I didn't speak to them. This day was the arrival day of the conference, so it was free time until dinner. I decided to go to the Turku castle. From the hotel to the Turku castle, it is about 5km. I don't remember the correct length. I like walking, especially in unfamiliar place. I saw a map and found out a road from the center of Turku was straigt forward to the Turku castld. This road is along the river. Turku is afront of sea. I walked along the river. On my way, I took a photo of the street. Below is the photo. I think the colour of the sky is deeper than the sky of Japan. What do you think?

In March 2006, I went to Finland and attended an international conference for the first time in my life. In Finland, people speak Finnish not English. I can speak English a little but can't speak Finnish. But people who are receptionists or waiters or waitresses in a hotel or restaurant can speak English. They understood my talks, which made me happy. When I left Japan for Finland, I got in an airplane which got off Narita and got down Copenhagen and went to Turku in Finland. In the picture is the airplane I got in. As the airplane rode down to an airport in Copenhagen, the captain or subcaptain in the airplane was very good and it's very soft landing. I felt happy to take a ticket of Scanginabia (スカンジナビア) airline.

I woke up at noon today, and watched a Go program on NHK. I was determined to play Go and I played four games at WING. I won three times and lost once. I exposed a kifu which I fought last time. This image was created by tools in gobase.org. In huseki, I set 33 instead of 6 as usual. I thought if I set 33 the opponent set 9 or 13, sot called Kobayasi style. I like Kobayashi style. I didn't want to make him(or her) use Kobayshi style, hence I put 6 preventing from it. After then, Black made a wall toward center area and White earned actual points below the wall. Namely, area of between 50 and 26,32 was one of my area. At this point, I felt good.

To put away the power of the Black wall, I set 52. If my stones is alive in this area, the power of the Black wall declines. Consequently, though my stone could be alive, another Black wall was appeared. To weaken the power, I set 88. But 88 may be too deep in the Black area , so my stone with 88 was weak. Fortunately, my stones could be run away from Black stones. And while fighting kou(コウ), I got a lot of Black stones in the right upper area.

I've played Go with my rank 5k at WING(World-wide Internet Gokaishohttp://www.wing.gr.jp/indexj.html. A rating system is activated in WING. Recently, I've been 5k near 4k. Yesterday, I was exhausted as I returned from a university to home. And I felt no more doing works. Hence, I played Go two games and my rank was up to 4k. This rank is corresponding to 2-dan for most of gokaishos which is not on the Web, of course.

I borrowed this book from a public library. I requested this book in the beginning of July. But when I could borrow it was the last week of July. I think that this book is an English book, so to deliver from another public library to my city's library was late. I am fond of some books of Sidney Sheldon. I like Master of the Game the best. The Naked Face is lack of thrill and suspense. I am accustomed to the story lines of Sheldon's books. Because I have read more than ten books of Sheldon. The Naked Face is the first book written by Sidney Sheldon. I think this book has already a certain point flowing in other books. The main characters have been in dead danger but never dead. I enjoyed this thrill very much at first. Continuing Sheldon's books, I realized that and felt less thrill than before.

The day before yesterday, I played bowling with my friend. I and he were used to playing bowling when we were teen. We went to a bowling center once a week. It was very fun. One of the reason is that I and he were almost same level. My score was 560 for four game, so the average was 140. When I was more powerful, I used my ball whose pond was 15 and my average 160. Now, I use a house ball, which belongs to a bowling center. I used a ball of 13 pond. Usually, I use 12 pond. Today, my neck hurts. I think the reason is that I used a ball heavier than usual.

My mother and sister went to the library of the women university near my home. They told me about cafeteria, library and people. In lunch time, there were full people in the cafeteria, they said. Most of people were women, of course. But few men were also there. They were admisson workers of the university, they said. Since there were no men's eyes, female students were rude. And there were some students who exposed their skins openly. My mother said she thought their breasts and its cover could be seen. My father went to pick them up. When he walked into the area of the university, a guardman said men had to be followed with guardmans. My father got into the library with the guardman and found his wife and daughter. In the library, no one studied. Instead of studying, students read manga on hard consentration. Why they read manga in the library? I think they can't read manga in their home because their parents don't admit to do it and their parents order their daughters to go the university. Consequently, their daughters go to the university and read manga in the library. Pity.

There is a women university near my home. It was founded recently. I live in small city. My city has three train stations. This university is far from every stations. From my home, it takes thirty minutes to walk to the university. I happen to stay near a station. Hence, some students walk thirty minutes. The university has a library which opens for citizens. If the university is not women only, I go to the library.

I understood the one yen mystery. I bought one yen book at Amazon Market Place some weeks ago. I wondered why the seller didn't waste of time and money with selling one yen book. I had a following knowledge. Professional merchants in Amazon Market Place don't have to pay 100 yen for a fee to Amazon. If I, who is not a professional merchant, sell a book, I have to pay 100 yen to Amazon. Amazon pays 260 yen for a ship fee to a merchant. The secret is here. A small book like so calld bunkobon can be ship in 160 yen by kuroneko-yamato-mail-bin. The difference is 100 yen. A merchant earns 100 yen. Of course, it doesn't count other fee. The merchant must buy the book wihout fee. For example, books like resting in the warhouse. Indeed, the book which I received was nice and like what no one used.

We have one game and the last game of a league tornament today. If we win today, our numbers of wins are more than loses. We never lost today's opponent. I don't have feeling for our losing game. As a result, we win the game! This league tornament is titled 市長杯. There are about thirty teams in my city.

After I enjoyed reading The Perfect Stranger by Anne Gracie, I determined to read The Perfect Waltz. This book is about Hope and Sebastian. Hope is a twin of Faith, who is the main character in The Perfect Stranger. Ages of the story of The Perfect Waltz is before The Perfect Stranger. Sebastian saw Hope in the ball for the first time. At first sight, he fell in love with her. He thought she was a silken elf. Most of people couldn't distinguish the twin Faith and Hope, but he separately recognized them since the first time. However, he was a rational man and was courting another woman who could take care of his sisters. He knew Hope was a his dreamy woman and he wanted her from his deep depth. But he didn't think Hope was appropriate for his sisters at first and he determined to avoid her as much as possible. The author don't forgive such action. He met her everywhere he went to. I enjoyed this book very much, too. I like Anne Gracie's attitude for writing love. Continuing reading her books, I will read The Perfect Lake. It is about Prudence. She is the senior sister in the Meddiew sisters. Its story is around runnig away their grandfather. I am looking forward to seeing the book. But before reading the book, I will read The Naked Face by Sidney Sheldon. Because I borrowed this book from the near library and I have to give it back soon.
