A month report
A month has passed since I began The Linguist. Let me report my results.

Russia
Russia is an unknown world to me. I am a little bit nervous to stay in Russia. As I mentioned several days before, I am going to stay in Russia in September-October.
I heard a horror story about women who were airport officers and threatened a Japanese woman to break her digital camera unless she gave some money to these officers. However, she didn't give money to these corrupt officers and got away from them. I am wondering what I should do if I would be taken to somewhere and be threatened.

AOL Videos
Yesterday, as I listened to music with Winamp, which is a music player, I found out in the side menu of music list of Winamp that there are online services and AOL videos. I was curious about AOL videos and clicked it. As I saw several clips, I was intrigued. Videos were clean and intersting.
In exploring other materials, I found Princess Natasha in Kids section. It is a commical anime and easy to listen and funny.

We won!
I got up at early in the morning, to take part in a game of softball. This game was the game which decides champions of the western area of Saitama. Our team was lucky enough to be seed and needed to win two games to be a champion. A week ago, we won a game as 18-2, and today was the last game.
After both team finshed seat knock, the game started. Succesfully, we shut off the opponents at the first inning. Our team is a powerful and strong offence team, however, the pitcher of the opponent was the best I have ever seen and we couldn't hit by second inning. At third inning, we got three point with errors of the opponents. Consequently, we won at 3-0.

The same is important
I finished reading The Linguist book written by Steve. In this book, Steve writes his journey of exploring many cultures, such as France, Spain, Italy, Hongkong, China and Japanese. Through his life in these country, he became to be fluent for their language, in other words, he became linguist for nine languages.
He says that it is important to communicate people who are native speakers and read and listen meaningful and interesting contents.
I think that in mathematics the same is important. Even if you read and study a lot of text book and learn theories, you fail to create own theory or own research area. Why? I think because it is very difficult to create an original and nontrivial theory. To breakthrough the difficulty, we need a passion for our objects.
He says that it is important to communicate people who are native speakers and read and listen meaningful and interesting contents.

Ahhhhh
As wrote yesterday, I bought Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connelly at ereader.com and I tried to put it into my files section of The Linguist system. But I couldn't. It is because of security of ereader.com. Books which are sold at ereader.com can be read only on eReader, which is a free software. I dissapointed.

I just finished this book. It was very fun. Until the author told who was the shodow fixer, I didn't realize that. I read three books written by Connelly before this book. I didn't find out who was the true killer in the three books, until the author told, too.
His book is very fun to me. I shall read the third book of the series of Harry Bosch. I think that I put one of his book into my files in The Linguist library, so I study his book and I understand better than before.

深夜の対局
将棋は日本語で。
今、主に将棋は将棋倶楽部２４で指しています。IDは cerisier2。主に早指（持ち時間１分秒読み３０秒）です。cerisier はフランス語で桜です。局面の画像化の仕方を知ったため、対局を取り上げることにしました。
しかし、思っていたのとはちがく、もっとシンプルにするはずでした。渡辺明ブログみたいに。(その後修正）
実際の対局ですが、三間飛車を指してみたくなり、戦形は石田流対居飛車穴熊に。
ここで、▲７七桂と指してしまい、△５四飛車とされて、次の△９四歩が受からなくなってしまいました。△５四飛車がまったく見えてませんでした。とりあえず、▲７四歩△同歩とし、次は、▲６五桂、▲５八金等が思い浮かびましたが、▲６五桂は△５七飛成▲５八金△５四竜とされてどうしようもないことに気がついたので、▲５八金としました。その後なぜかうまく捌けて次の局面に。
ここでは、駒損ですが、手盤を握っているのと相手の金の一つが玉の近くにいないので、結構いけるかなと思ってました。飛車を打ち合って手盤はこちらに。
今見ると、端攻めが最も良かったようにも思いますが、指しているときは▲３四銀しか見えず、相手に攻めさせることに。その後ばたばたと手が進んで次図に。
普通は▲２三銀と行くところだと思いますが、△同銀右▲同角成は詰めろ出ないと判断したのと、△同銀右▲同桂成は３四に駒を受けられるのが、攻防になりそうだったので、▲３一竜と竜を切ってから、▲２三銀としました。向こうは▲３一竜のときに▲３四歩としたほうが良かったような気がします。しかし、普通は飛車を持ったらこちらの玉は寄るのでむべからなんというところでしょうか。そして飛車を打たれました。▲２八玉ははっきり終わりなので▲４八玉。
驚いたことに寄ってません。金を持っていれば、△３七銀と打って逃げ道を封鎖する手が絶好手になるところですが、あいにくありません。たぶん相手はびっくりしたでしょう。次の△４九飛成は入れる必要はありません。手を戻さざるを得ず、△２三銀▲同角成と進みました。
ここは△４七竜とし金を２二に打てば詰めろは消えます。しかし、その場合▲５九金や▲５九歩が生じるのでやりにくいかもしれません。後手は△２二銀打としたので、詰みました。▲１二馬からばらしてぴったりつみます。香車が手に入るのがポイントで多分これをうっかりされたんだと思います

First time
I joined a discussion for the first time in The Linguist. I enjoyed talking English but I couldn't speak well. I can understand what's talked, but I can't speak English soon, in other words, I can't have English in my mind soon. Moreover, because I am speaking in thinking what I should speak and I don't know much about intonation, I speak English by word and word.
It seemed to be able to communicate to others in the discussion, though what I said was not understood sometimes.
Therefore, I want to speak longer sentences and more fluently and more nativelike(now japanese english).

Very hot and humid
It is very hot and humid in Saitama. The humid degree is about 90 percent. It was said on the weather news. I have no airconditioner or something like that, so I feel tired. It is said that this weather will be continuing for the time being. I have to go my university everyday.
On my way to home, I listened to English today. I could hear BBC news clearly. Some months ago, I couldn't. What happened to me? After listening to BBC news, I listened to contents in The Linguist library. I can also understand the contents and hear clearly Steve's voice. The more I can understand a content, the more I want to listen to the content.

Free Speaking
I shall speak English and record it. I'll talk about my daily life in three or five minutes.
When I started to write a diary in English in April, I wrote about the fact I happened to. It is difficult for me to express my feeling and thought.
Recently, I become to want to speak English. I was stimulated by talking to foreign people. Continuing writing a diary let me be able to write more easily. Similarly, speaking a dairy is enable me to speak more easily and I hope I can speak more fluently.

I found this when I was reading a blog of a Linguist member. This site is very useful. I tried English section. There are many modules. I noticed my poor sence of tempo of speaking English in a section.
I think I am not good at speaking English, especially pronounce. In my childhood, I hated speaking largely because I couldn't speak very well. As growning, I become speaking a little. Similarly, I have not put in the time to speak English.
I think that commitment leads to success and success reinforces commitment. Unless I spend enough time speaking English, I would not naturally speak English. I have to do shadowing or listen or record my pronounce...

SAW
I saw this movie, because I was very fond of SAW 2. SAW is a movie that you are scared and suprised and thrilled. I have been liking scareing game or movie since I met the Biohazard. The Biohazard is a game of PS. Later PS2 and a movie of Biohazard was released.

I saw this movie. It's exciting, but not interesting to me. Though I've seen by the end of the story. I expected a space war like Star Wars, but there was no such seen in this movie. This movie is not a war of the worlds but a bio hazard. Many people was exterminated by machines. Tom Cruise run away from the powerful machines.

Skype
I spoke English with native speaker. I have very little experience speaking English. There are several reasons.
- I am no good at speaking English.
- I talk to mathematician, but most of them are not native speakers in English.
I talked to tutor in The Linguist. I was afraid if I talked well. I have not used Skype. I have no confident speaking English.
At first, it seemed to be very well, but then I didn't speak well and the connection was bad. After the conversation, I checked my microphone, and it didn't suit to my computer. I set my microphone right. I hope it will be good next time.
I found a man who uses Skype to speak English, He is Japanese. He says that by being Skype me, you are called or sended txt messge. So I try it, and I put my skype link on the left side of this homrepage.
Perhaps, it was difficult to talk to native speaker long time ago. However, it is easy to talk to speak English with people in the World now. If you use Skepe or other tools.
A minute ago, I talked to a tanzanian in English, but the connection was bad. I wonder if my microphone doesn't improve. When I tested it using Skype Test Call, it was good. I heard my voice, not clearly though. Using wireless LAN may be not good.

I started to read "The Vanished". This book is rented by a city library, too. Accidentaly, an aricle about "The Vanished" is on the Borad of SSS. Usually, I only read the board, but this time I wrote an reply to the message.

It has passed one week
I came back from the trip to home. I was easy at home.
In The Linguist, I have to save 100 words and 50 phrases a week. To do so, I save 20 words and 10 phrases a day, because there are some busy days in a week. Actually, I was busy from the last week to this week.
At the moment, the number of my known words in The Linguist vocabulary system is about 3500. I assume I know words more than 8000.
After saving words and phrases, I review them. It is easy, because I select words I have already known a little, and I don't read difficult or uninterest contents.
I think, the more becoming the number of my known words near 8000, the more difficult reviewing and remembering words.

I climed Mt. Amagahage
I climed a mountain today. Its name is very funny. In japanese, 尼ヶ禿山. 尼 usually means a woman in a church, and 禿 means no hair on top of the face.

I borrowed this book from a city library. In Saitama, we are able to borrow books from any city library of Saitama. Due to popularity of Danielle Steel, there are many books whose author is Danielle Steel in city libraries in Saitama. I am fond of her books because her books are easy to read.
Charlie had married for ten years, and he had been busy. He often traveled Hongkong, Tokyo and Europe. He lived in London with his wife, Carole. She was also busy. They didn't communicate with each other very often. Finally, she was fell in love with a man who was a boss of a firm she was belonged to.
Chalie broke his heart or he was broked his heart. He left London because the company he was employed ordered him to return to New York. He stayed New York, but he was uncomfortable with the city and the company. At last, he took his rest for six months and went skiing.
In the way to there, he met an woman and an cathle. At first sight, he fell in love with the cathle and asked the woman to rent it him. She was owner of it.
In the cathle, he came across Sarah and her very old journals. Reading her journals, he recovered from the breakup.
I like the story of this book, because I like the breakup story.
I think that one who has not experienced losting love with his/her lover and his/her perpose of the life, never understand love for opposite sex(in Japanese, 恋).
I like books written by Haruki Murakami. He wrote about lost love and hope for the life in his some books.
I submitted an aritcle in my blog to The Linguist. It was corrected. I knew new words and phrases like I never know unless they suggest. Here is the corrected text.
Tomorrow, I am going to stay in a field on the top of a mountain in Gunma and take part in a seminar organized by our university. I will stay there for nine days! I feel tired just thinking about it. Of course, the air up there is fresh and clean, but there is nothing but woods, stars, and bears near the seminar house. I may not be able to stand it. Moreover, the seminar house doesn't have Internet service in a private study room, but in a living room. It is impossible to write a diary for the time being and use The Linguist. Instead, I will practice mathematics very hard.

Easy Starters
After I finished "Your Language Adventure" series, following Shashi's advise, I began to start "Easy Starters" series. Firstly, I listened one or two times. Then, I read and saved words and phrases. I didn't review words I saved today. I have to go to bed because I am going to wake up early in the morning.

I climed up a mountain
We took a rest in the afternoon of today. Some people studied mathematics and some people got to sleep and we four went to the top of a mountain. A punflet said it took five hours to walk the course.
At first, we climed up the mountain. It was hard. We hardly saw the road because there were many plants. In fact, we were at a loss once. Fortunately, we could found out the right road.
In the shining of the sun, we arrived at the top of the mountain. It was very hot because there was no hinder from the sun. We crimed down soon. On our way, the landscape was wonderful and beautiful. I regretted I didn't bring my camera.
When we arrived at the seminar house where we stayed, we took a bath as soon as possible. It refreshed us. After having dinner, I came back my room, and I entered in The Lingusit. After I had done a few tasks, I was sleepy and I went to bed.
Due to letting the light on, I woke up at midnight. Then, my leg fleezed, but it recovered soon. I fully woke up and went bloging and am writing this article.

I am using The Linguist
As a result of researching several learning systems, I choose The Linguist. Now I am using The Linguist system. After I had done several tasks, I couldn't choose a content in the Linguist library. I thought that I am in free trial, so I can't choose many tasks. Then, I quitted reading contents in the Linguist library. Unfortunately, I am in the top of a mountain now and I don't have my credit card, so I can't sopt free trial and enter a regular course. But I can choose contents in the Linguist library today. I wonder why I couldn't choose contents the day before yesterday.
I am reading contents of intermediate level. I hardly come across words or phrases I don't know. A character something like Steve on the right in the page scolds me and insist I would save more words and phrases. I have to save 100 words a week, namely about 14 words a day. I like reading contents something like I understand well. Such contents have not words I don't know. Should I read more difficult contents to understand? I think so.
